Screw Clamps offer screw-action clamping with variable, yet positive clamping force. Unlike toggle-action clamps, Screw Clamps will tolerate irregularities in work size. The more you turn the handle, the tighter the clamping force. A lever turn of 180o will advance the spindle by 3/8".
Screw Clamps combine positive screw-action clamping with the swiftness of a toggle clamp. Turning action is converted through a hardened triple acting screw thread set into strong clamping pressure.
An average operator weighing 140 LBS. can easily produce 1000 LBS. of clamping pressure using wrist action alone.
The front end of the shaft is tapped so a screw extension, or special adapter, can be added. The Clamp can be mounted parallel, or perpendicular to the Tee-slots. The Screw Clamp can also be mounted directly onto fixture bases.

FOR PERFECT PARALLEL ALIGNMENT of the machine side of the part to your machine table. All American's vertical lift clamp does the job with absolute accuracy and less set up time.
The lower jaw moves up on the threaded spindle to two different heights 180o opposite, tightening the part. Both jaws rotate 360o. Work the clamp action by lowering the quick acting cam to turn the cam clockwise and the core screw draws the lower jaw upward.
